The canal's ports and river stops have developed a quality of facilities and services which now make them real tourist attractions. For its facilities, the canal is the first in France! Playgrounds, picnic areas, cycle paths, pedestrian walkways, restaurants... each one has its own atmosphere and setting, but they all remain in the image of the banks of the Saar: peaceful and welcoming!
Marina
Of SarregueminesAt the foot of the Casino des Faïenceries, the harbour is located in the city centre, close to shops, various cultural centres, a picnic and leisure area and cycle paths. It offers boaters tranquillity and comfort in a welcoming setting. The harbour master's office, located on the Pauline barge, offers many services to boaters who benefit from the warm welcome of the members of the "L'Eau-Reine" association, in charge of the good management of the harbour.
Did you know that?
The barge Pauline is named after the steamboat that was used to transport the raw materials for the earthenware factory in the city centre from the Moulin de la Blies. Pauline was the daughter of Paul Utzschneider, director of the Faïenceries.
Marina
Of WittringThe village of Wittring and its marina are nestled in a green setting in the Saar Valley. This is the place to be for all boaters looking for the quiet of the countryside. And if they miss the noise of the city, the cycle path along the canal will lead them directly to Sarreguemines!
