🌞🍹 Festival Chill & Sun, who's behind it?
New for summer 2023, the Chill & Sun festival has moved to the Esplanade du Casino in Sarreguemines. There will be several dates throughout the summer, punctuated by concerts, meetings, entertainment and cold drinks to enjoy on a deckchair by the river Sarre! The whole Tourist Office team was delighted with the initiative, and we'd like to tell you a little more about the people behind the festival...
1st edition 2023The Chill & Sun Festival
What is Chill & Sun?First and foremost, it’s a meeting place on the Esplanade du Casino… It’s like an open-air bar, with a guinguette feel, where you can meet up with friends, listen to a bit (or a lot) of music and take advantage of original events organised in collaboration with local associations.
In all, around fifty seats are available (with deckchairs and high tables), as well as snacks, ice creams and cold drinks (served from an old caravan refitted under the sweet name of Baravane!).
Not forgetting a range of outdoor games to keep you entertained: basketball hoop, badminton court, Mölkky, slackline… there’s something for everyone and all the family! 2 dates were already scheduled in June, so don’t wait any longer to discover the rest of the summer programme:

The Chill & Sun Festival
Who are we?The festival is being put on by a brand new association, MozHell Production, which was set up in 2022. Julien, Loïc and Jérémie are the 3 heads behind the project, which isn’t just about Chill and Sun: they want to organise the first major rock and metal festival in Moselle-Est in 2024!
It was after Hellfest 2022 that we came up with the idea of setting up our association and organising our festival here in East Moselle. They’ve managed to make Hellfest what it is in the countryside, so why can’t we bring that atmosphere back home? There’s great potential for this type of event in the region, especially with Sarreguemines’ geographical location, where people from other border countries can travel easily.
The festival will be called MozHell Open Air and the 3 friends make no secret of the fact that they draw a lot of their inspiration from Hellfest, one of the biggest music festivals in France, which they attend every year. They really want to be able to showcase local artists and promote the region through music.
Just a few days after we launched this festival project and made contacts in the industry, we had a hundred phone calls from bands looking for venues to perform on! The hardest part for us won’t be finding the bands, but rather putting the project together, as we’re still looking for a site that can host the festival.
Above all, this festival will be an opportunity to create memories, moments of conviviality and solidarity between people. Opportunities to let go and enjoy!
A first concertMeet us on 10 November 2023
in Sarreguemines! The MozHell Production association is already announcing its first autumn concert, on 10 November 2023, on the Hôtel de Ville stage in Sarreguemines: 4 bands will be on stage, including Kamizol-K, a metal band who performed at this year’s Hellfest. A good start for all fans of this musical genre, which has very little presence in the region! We’ll be sure to keep you posted 😉
This adventure has only just begun, so if you too would like to volunteer for the association and get involved in the project, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
